My award for the most breathtaking scientific discovery of the week, no the month – oh what the hell, the year – goes to the researchers behind a new study that’s just been published in the journal Applied Cognitive Psychology.

So what is this startling piece of scientific work, you’re wondering?

I find it so difficult to put into words that I’m going to quote direct from the story that appeared on medicalnewstoday.com. It says the study ‘finds that college-aged men are very likely to remember a woman’s initial sexual interest (attraction or rejection), especially when the woman in question is thought to be attractive, is dressed more provocatively, and expresses positive sexual interest.”

YOU DON’T SAY!

Talk about stating the bleeding obvious. Men, apparently, have good memories for women’s sexual interest. Wow. Who’d have thought it? Someone give those researchers a Nobel prize right now.
