Well I never. Researchers from the Paris School of Economics writing in the Economic Journal claim people who compare their salaries with that of others are more likely to be unhappy than those who don’t play the what-do-you-earn game (of course that is, I assume, if they are earning less). Not just that, but those who are most affected are the ones who earn the least.
Well, duh.
So can everyone please shut up about how much the UK’s top civil servants are earning (you know, the 172 people who earn more than David Cameron)? It’s driving me to the Prozac bottle….
