Hmmm. Well, should they?

Suffice to say, I often wonder why pregnant women get treated as if they might break at any second – some, I dare say, may believe they should be confined to bed for the entire nine months.

The question is, does a woman’s life suddenly become more precious when she’s carrying a child? Of course all life is precious, but have we become so child-centric that women should strip their lives of the tiniest degree of risk because it might harm their foetus?
